Ford shows new Hybrid Concept car (pics)

US auto giant Ford has unveiled a new concept that offers a glimpse at its new global design language.

The Ford Evos, set to premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, is a fastback four-door concept that packs futuristic technology with several styling elements that are also likely to debut in future Ford models.

With a relatively standard lithium-ion plug-in hybrid engine, the bulk of Evos's technology is personal, with Ford saying that it wanted to produce a personalized experience that linked drivers with the cloud.That means that the car recognizes each driver, automatically adjusting hadling, steering and engine controls accordingly, as well as cuing music or news programs that it knows the driver was listening to before they got into the vehicle.

After learning driver habits, the vehicle amalgamates them with data such as terrain and weather to fine-tune engine, steering and braking performance, as well as minimizing the amount of time that the engine spends burning fuel on the journey (switching to all-electric mode, for example, if it senses that the journey is a standard short commute).

As Ford has previously suggested, it is still working on health management systems, showcasing a heart-rate monitor and air-quality sensors that can suggest a better route if the driver is known to suffer from allergies.

A trapezoidal grille, similar to those used by Audis and Aston Martins, adds a 'premium' look, while a section of the roof is glazed, a nod to Ford's popular Vista Roof option.

The most striking aspect of pictures released so far, however, are the four full gullwing doors, which scissor upwards to allow easy entry to the vehicle.

The model will be on display from September 15-25 at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in Frankfurt, Germany

JYJ to file case vs KBS over jeju Island campaign

MANILA, Philippines – K-pop trio JYJ, composed of Xiah Junsu, Kim Jaejoong and Micky Yoochun, will file a complaint against Korean TV station KBS for canceling the group’s scheduled TV appearance aimed at promoting Jeju Island to be one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.

This is the latest issue on the saga involving JYJ, which has been banned by Korean TV stations from appearing on entertainment shows in Korea due to the group’s lawsuit against SM Entertainment.
Despite a standing court injunction, which allows JYJ to hold their own activities without interference from SM Entertainment, Korean TV stations have sided with the agency and prohibited JYJ from TV appearances including promoting their music on music shows since last year.
JYJ was earlier appointed by the Jeju Island local government as honorary ambassadors to campaign and encourage people to vote for the island’s bid to be one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. Jeju Island is one of the 28 finalists for the selection.
As part of the campaign, JYJ was supposed to appear in a special TV show on July 20. However, C-JeS Entertainment, JYJ’s agency, said that on July 16, they received a notice that JYJ’s appearance was canceled. They were replaced by Girls Generation and f(x).
With this, JYJ is set to file a complaint before the Korean Fair Trade Commission (FTC) and consider other legal options against KBS.
C-JeS said it seems that JYJ was only used to promote Jeju Island in the campaign.
“Also, C-JeS Entertainment will file a complaint to the Fair Trade Commission about the organizer’s act to unilaterally cancel JYJ’s appearance, without any prior agreement, just four days before the event. We will also take appropriate legal procedures over this fraudulent act where the artist (JYJ) was used as ambassadors under the agreement of appearing on the special TV show, only to get forcefully cancelled without prior notice,” according to the C-JeS statement as translated by Soompi.com.
In 2009, Junsu, Jaejoong and Yoochun, who at the time were part of boy band TVXQ, sued SM Entertainment to annul their exclusive contracts. They formed their own group, JYJ, and hired C-JeS to manage their careers.
No final decision has been issued by the Korean court that is hearing the case.

I am a 53-year-old man who has not had a date in the last few years. When I meet women and when they find out I am 53 and they tell me that I am too old. Most of the women I meet feel the age difference which can be from 3 years to 10 years younger is too much or the women that are my age want someone who 10 years younger than me. DOS and USCIS are making sure no visas are being wasted in any category whether it is FB or EB category. In this situation we cannot expect any FB visa wastage and spillover of those FB wasted visa in EB category anymore. Without the FB spillover there will not be any forward movement in EB2 during the august-september visa bulletin. Mpadapa analysis seems to be correct and is also backed by facts and numbers. With only 140k visas for EB and without any FB spillover we might actually see dates moving back and staying stagnant for EB2 india. Remember Eb2 india has never managed to move beyond April 1 2004 without the FB spillover in the last quarter.This is a terrible shock to everybody in EB2 India, I have been saying this all along that EB2 will be stagnant or move backward (because of eb3 line cutters).

In the past we have been used to EB limits of 154K (2007), 163K (2008), this year we have to get used to the original limit 140K The movement of PD of various categories would take their own coarse based on USCIS interpretation of spillover between categories.

It would be great if members can update their profiles so that IV can do a better job of estimating the forward movement using the tracker.

To my understanding you can use EAD and then switch back to H1. However, it is still unclear if one can do job on EAD as well as hold the H1 status.

Anyone invoking AC21 with unapproved I-140?

It is risky to change employers after 180 days before I140 is approved. If it comes to issues, when USCIS realizes one changed employment before I140 was approved, USCIS needs to verify that the underlying I140 was approvable at the time the change of employment occurred. By approvable it means that at that time there was no reason to issue a major type RFE for pending I140. If, for instance, the USCIS notices that at the time one invoked AC-21 and I140 was not yet approved and the I140 petition did not include (or included incomplete) educational documentation, it will say that the I140 was NOT approvable due to material evidence missing. And, at that time AC-21 can't work and may cause huge issues. One should be very wary of this and in general attorneys advise to wait until I 140 is approved before invoking I140.

I managed to finish New Moon. It took me a while but I finally finished it. I've been trying to read all the Twilight books and I think they're pretty good. Very sweet and er, romantic? Yeh, I guess. But it is very sweet. If you haven't read it yet or have some phobia to it, then you probably don't know what New Moon is about. Well, Edward dumps Bella and she ends up with Jacob. Or something like that. Well, I wanted Bella to go with Jacob but then he got bitchy and Edward got cool. I can't wait until the movie comes out. Hahaha. No promises, but I'll try?

I have a few reasons why I'm going back though.

Firstly, I missed my dad's birthday last month as I had to work in Singapore preparing for the Blog Awards. I actually got him a present earlier but I had no time to go back before that as well and thus only bringing him his belated birthday present this week. I hope he likes what I bought for him. :)

Next, I do miss my parents (a bit). It's been almost 3 months since I last see them, I think. So yea, it's time to drop by Ipoh to see them. However, I'm very sure the moment I see them, this reason will be nullified and I will wonder what can I do in Ipoh for the rest of 2 days. Lol.

Lastly, there's a distant relative wedding dinner to attend this weekend! Hurray!! I'm damn cheapskate and love wedding dinners. Especially the first 2 courses!! The appetizer usually rocks and sharkfin is no doubt the bomb!!! Muahahaha, attending wedding dinners of relatives are cost efficient, cause your parents pay for angpow instead of you!!! Yea! Yea! Yea!

Okay from these 3 reasons I bet you've deciphered me as someone who prioritized work from family, a not filial son and cheapskate, thick faced guy. I do admit I'm all three but I don't exactly see much wrong in it due to what I've faced in my life. So I beg for you not to judge anyone for what they do in the present as many of us may be touched or shattered to hear what they had gone through.

Two weeks ago, my Ex wrote me:

"I'm not responsible for your reputation. It speaks for itself. You have turned into a bitter bitchy queen. You used to be fun and charming. You have let this competitive edge rule your life and it has damaged your relationships."

I would be lying if I said it didn't profoundly affect me. There have been similar whispers about my attitude from other quarters. Chirps here and there. My stubborn male pride bristles at any suggestion that I'm a douche.

An inner voice seethes and hisses, "master... they are jealous (and squishy!)... don't heed their warnings!" Then there is my heart still heavily guarded and under house arrest. It's the only sane part of me. It pleads, "It's not too late to turn away from the Dark Side! There is still time to heal the hole in your soul!"

The Louisville Trip would provide a perfect test of... Can I get along well with others in a non-competitive environment? On the surface, it was a risky trip filled with potential for great disappointment. Most of the people I was meeting were strictly Facebook friends whom I had never met.

THE TRIP:
I checked into my hotel at the Museum 21 C. It is a posh downtown hotel worthy of a Queen. My room was large with a great view, king sized bed, and a nice bathroom. The turn down service every day was appreciated, because I never had to worry about running out of fresh towels. Everybody knows or should know that I take frequent showers.

On the first day, I met up with owned bud Chad. He has a wonderful sense of humor in both the Facebook world and real world. We ate at a Qdoba Mexican Grill in Bardstown and had good conversation. From there, Chad took me around to see the gorgeous Cherokee Park and Cave Hill Cemetary.

I was passed off to the friendly couple of Chris and Chris (not pictured) where they introduced me to the wonderful chrisandwich. It was quite delicious! We eventually reconnected with Chad and his Daddy Bill, where we ate at the Irish Rover and had drinks at the Q (home bar of the delightful Casey Leek and singing cartwheel legend J.Buttons).

On Friday, Casey and I dueled on the tennis courts. I was whipping his ass in each set, before he would stage amazing comebacks. We ended up splitting our sets 7-6,6-7 and called it a "tie" so neither one of us would pout on the drive back. See... I can sometimes put the greater good ahead of my own blood lust for winning!

It was on Saturday that I would meet SUPER NERD Brian again after a fateful Southern Decadence meeting with his partner Donald a few years ago. Brian has a penchant for embarrassing you with really witty illustrations on your Facebook page:

I was dragged and forced to GEEK OUT with Chad and Brian at a Star Trek Exhibit:

On Saturday night, I went to a fabulous party with Bill, Chad, and Brian where I met some very friendly Kentucky boys and a WOOFY West Virginian named Alex:

After socializing, drinking, and making mischief, we ended the night at Tryangles and The Connection where I lost track of how many people I slobbered over. Bill and Chad must think I am super slutty when drinking. LOL.

By Sunday, I was totally exhausted and flew back home to Louisiana. Thank you, Louisville for renewing my spirit and teaching me that happiness can exist outside of a tennis court. I look forward to seeing you guys soon... at IML in Chicago. :)

Before riding on the popularity (undeserved, I might add) of the Jersey Shore gimmick, indie beefcake Romeo Roselli was in a tag team called The Hearthrobs with Antonio Thomas. The Hearthrobs were first called The Heartbreakers, probably because Romeo used to wrestle as Johnny Heartbreaker in a few controversial Junior Pro Wrestling Association (JPWA) videos (Why controversial?
